Sr Embedded Hardware Design Engineer

Education: B.E./B. Tech in Electronics or Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering

Key Technical Skills & Requirements:

Hardware Design & Development

• Schematic design & PCB layout using KiCad / Eagle
• Hands-on experience in circuit design, simulation, and component selection
• Understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles
• Experience with power supply design, DC-DC converters, LDOs, and battery management circuits

Microcontroller Systems

• Strong understanding of microcontroller architecture (ARM Cortex, STM32, ESP32, AVR, etc.)
• Experience in schematic integration of microcontrollers, memories (Flash, EEPROM, SRAM), and sensors
• Familiar with clocking systems, reset circuits, boot configurations, and programming interfaces (SWD/JTAG)
• Basic embedded C programming for hardware validation and peripheral testing

Communication Interfaces

• In-depth knowledge of CAN, I2C, SPI, UART, RS485, USB, and GPIO
• Understanding of protocol-level debugging and signal analysis

Testing & Debugging

• Hands-on with oscilloscopes, logic analysers, multimeters, and power analyser’s
• Experience with JTAG, SWD, and in-circuit debugging tools
• Ability to perform identify hardware faults, and verify signal behaviour

Additional Knowledge

• Understanding of sensor interfaces (temperature, accelerometer, humidity, etc.)
• Experience with PCB assembly processes, component footprints, and BOM creation
• Awareness of EMI/EMC design practices and ESD protection techniques
• Basic knowledge of firmware-hardware co-design and system integration
• Familiar with power measurement, current profiling, and thermal management
