India’s first electric vertical take-off & landing technology based autonomous aerial vehicle (AAV), is soon to be introduced by PDRL i.e. Passenger Drone Research Pvt. Ltd.
PDRL’s aerial vehicle is built with the capability of carrying four passengers from one-point-to-another (P2P) with a payload of 1000 kilograms. The flight time for its generation one vehicle is 30 minutes in full charge of the green energy battery stack. With a maximum flight altitude of 2000 meters from ground, it’s capable of staying clear of the tallest building in India.

The aerial vehicle is capped to fly at a speed of 120 km/h for a distance of 30km aerial distance.

Safety is the key consideration behind the design and development of PDRL’s aerial vehicle. Hence it is being built based on the norms defined by DGCA – Directorate General of Civil Aviation. PDRL’s design has efficient redundancy mechanisms at every level – from hardware to software, which is the key highlight of this aerial technology incorporated into the aerial vehicle.
